We wanted to build a school that did not stop at just teaching theory and concepts, so we train our Mystics to not just to "know about" growth and Spirit, but to actually embody so that it can come alive and you can apply it in your life when it is needed and in ways that matter. Mentally understanding is often an important first step but ultimately beyond mere words, we convince with our presence. May the transmission of your living embodiment effortlessly emanate from your being and ripple out in ways that positively impact for you and our world.
Mystics personal and spiritual development programs and retreats are both universal and inclusive. We honor there are manay paths to Spirit which have arisen in a variety of cultural contexts over the millennia and are inclusive of all religions and wisdom traditions. Yet at the same time, we also recognize the perennial philosophy, the essential wisdom and states of being common to all humans found at the heart of all traditions.
Mystics is not some new age gimmick disconnected from the perennial wisdom realized by Mystics of the Ages. We stand on the shoudlers of giants and deeply honor all those who have come before, including the essential wisdom and universal principles beyond culture and time that they have shared with us as well as the maps of spiritual states. Yet, we also recognize that many of the masters of old were not able to leverage the scientific research on healing and spiritual development from recent decades. Today there are over 1000 scientific studies on meditation published each year. For example, one false spiritual myth is that people will experience an ego death. On the contarary, neuroscience research suggest the DMN Default Mode Network region of the brain is associated with heightened states of ego identification, self-criticism, busy mind, etc. Whereas when DMN activity decreases or turns off, Mediatators or psychedelic journeyers experience the relaxation of the sense of self and an expansiveness into Awareness or Oneness.
Mystics is trauma informed and does not spiritually bypass by suggesting you dissociate away for your "pain-body" or your "past-present" and into your "future-present". Integrating the latest which it stores as numbness, tension, deadzones or a busy mind. Instead our trained facilitators support the feeling and releasing of past emotions body-stored trauma and rewiring of missed developmental needs as an essential part of the process. The more you release your body-stored past the more space you free up for your greated future potential and the more the essential peace, love and joy at the center of existence can animate you.
Emotional Intelligence is a distinct line of development from the realization of spiritual states. In other words, being able to feel subtle energy or glimpse Non-Dual Awareness is unrelated to being able to name, feel and release an emotion. Learning to sit and scan your body as one common meditation tradition teaches is useful for body sensing, but ineffective for helping you feel and release the emotion. Thus, instead of spending days in an emotional state, Mystics teaches practical and effective emotional intelligence tools that can help you release the feeling in minutes.
It is essential to understand the difference between "glimpsing' a state versus "stabilizing" the state in all moments. Some people erroneously say "when I had my awakening" in reference to a single subtle state experience or a life phase of growth and transition. Then they later tell the story (now a memory in their mind being retold in the present moment). Often these discrete state experiences or short phases of life are unrelated to Non-Dual Awareness in all moments, people might live and engage the process a lot differently. No longer thinking thinking they are "awake" when talking about a memory of a past state, they might be inspired to practice with more consistency and devotion until open as Non-Dual Awareness in all moments.
Mystics is an emerging system of Full Spectrum Human Development and Spiritual Awakening training specifically designed to transform and awaken the 21st Century human being. Instead of spiritually bypassing, or trying to dissociate Into ascension, Mystics emphasizes both Waking Up and Growing Up. Mystics invites you to activate and develop all levels of your being: Simutaneously grounded and expansive, practical and magical, centered and securely connected. Our world needs us to be Waking Up (glimpsing & stabilizing Non-Dual Awareness) and Growing Up (adult human development: mentally, morally, emotionally sexually, relationally, etc.). Drisana Carey has a laugh that lights up a room and a joie de vive that is highly contagious. She is a licensed acupuncturist L.AC, DIPL.O.M. who studied at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine after an undergraduate degree atSyracuse University where she played collegiate volleyball.
In addition to being a highly skilled traditional Chinese medical doctor, she is an accomplished yogini and yoga teacher, model, Zen tea ceremonial server, trail runner, touring cyclist, foodie and cultural connoisseur. Along with her dynamism and joyfulness, she brings a radical compassion that inspires and empowers, while at the same some relaxes and frees you to be your authentic self.
Koichi Naruishi is a highly trained network chiropractor with over two decades of experience and a deep dedication to continuing education, growth and excellence in practice.
Steeped in a variety of ancient wisdom traditions and esoteric practices, he has cultivated a mastery of subtle energetics and the healing arts. He combines that rigor, perhaps from his Japanese American heritage or maybe because of depth of his own being, with an enormous heart full of joy, care and playfulness.
Early health challenges, guided Koichi, and his whole family to create major shifts in health and lifestyle. Inspired by his own direct experience of the potential to change one’s life, he has dedicated his career to being of service in helping transform the lives of his clients.
He is very passionate about setting people free from limiting patterns and beliefs, so they can feel the love and joy at the center of their being while experiencing their greater potential.
With an original background in engineering, ThaiHa Sloan came to a point where she realized she wanted to dedicate her life’s work to her passions and making the world a better place. So, with tremendous trust she pivot her career and sought out to discover and live her purpose.
And over the past decade, with a deep curiosity for continued learning and devotion to being of service, ThaiHa has taken numerous trainings and continuing education programs.
